Rising Action

Blueprints For the FACILITY
The trip took ten whole days. As they got closer to the FACILITY, the air chilled, and there was a ghastly scent in the air. A few of the inmates were panicking and they had an eerie feeling within them.
"Why is everyone so afraid?" Reed asked to the guard on the shuttle.
"I dun no, I heard that the people in the FACILITY are psychotic, incurable murderers, rapists, and pedophiles. Filth they are, aren’t they?," answered the guard. "You're not one of them are you?"
Reed replies to the guard on the shuttle, and tells him what his atrocious backstabbing brother did to him. He fought against his own brother and he lost, forcing himself to let go of the miserable pain his brother brought upon him.
"I was uh... on late night duty one day and walking home. And when I turned around the street, I saw a couple of guys gang fighting around the corner. I couldn’t stand all the fighting, so then I got in and tried to stop them. It was my weakness seeing people hate each other," explains Reed to the guard, “There was no hope for solving this situation, but I tried anyways. Eventually everyone ganged up on me a broke three of my ribs and two of my fingers. However, I used to be in the Marines, and I was immune to pain. After the gang went away, I stood there beside a dead body that had my fingerprints and DNA on him. The cops soon came to the area, and the cops saw me and the body laying there. The cops brought me to the station and interrogated me. Turns out, the fight was a set up by my brother, I told the cops, but they didn't believe me. My brother wanted me to leave the city because he was a greedy little twerp that didn't need me to interfere with his company. I didn't agree to invest into his plans.
"Wow, I never realized that your brother is such a bad person," replied the guard,” in the news, they say he helped lots of children in Galaphra. Blake Sully’s his name eh?"
"Yeah," Reed said, “Unfortunately.”

Whoosh! The shuttle passed the FACILITY’s force field, into the dull gates around rows of electric and groups of undaunted guards.

“It doesn’t seem so bad,” laughed Reed as him observed outside the window.
Transfiguration Ground
“We’ll see,” intimidated the guard. Reed gulped.
As the shuttle closed in on the platform of the transfiguration ground, or landing strip, Reed sits down nervously and watches fear devour many and the prisoner’s entire complexion.
“Alright ladies, it’s time to get off,” Shouts a guard. The inmates chattered and shook their cuffs. They lined up in a row and looked around nervously. Flinching at a warm breeze or noticing a guard’s gun. We walked into the FACILITY

Communications' 3 Sites On New Speech Topic 2

Site 1
This site explains that kidnappers do not have patience and is crueler than I thought. There are two hundred nine victims of kidnapping and murder in Mexico? Where is the humanity, why is it that people just want to live their own lives peacefully without having other people ruin it for them? The Mexican congress should do something about it, no, must do something about it. Do they honestly think that kidnapping is an easy case to crack? What about Murder? Although they did change the penalty from 25 years in jail to 45, what difference does it make? How would they even catch the criminal this way? Stop waiting for kidnappers to show up, start searching for them. I admire groups such as Movement Blanco, for they know this information and they bring it towards the light.

Site 2
This site is an excellent example of kidnapping in Mexico. Armed men kidnapping people in Ciudad Juarez? Where did they get those guns? This website explains a type of kidnapping called "express kidnapping", which is to get quick cash in exchange for the release of an individual.

Site 3
This site is the best site that shows the different child abduction laws and differences in child abduction laws in the United States and Europe. It also says that parental abduction and its charges are different from general kidnapping and its charges. The Hague Convention is by far the most significant international treaty pertaining to the prevention of international child abduction. They try to help all the cases of kidnapping to the best of their abilities in all over the world. For instance, in Japan, the government believes that the citizen has the right to take their own child even though without custody of the child and without impunity if caught, in other words, parental kidnapping in Japan is legal. However, in America, all kidnapping cases are said to be illegal, but for the parental or general kidnapping, it leaves for the jury to decide. This site will and is already helpful in my speech, thus I shall use it!

Story Exposition

Reed's Trial

The year is 2037, May twenty-third. Reed walks up to the front of the room and stares straight forward with nothing in his mind, nothing to regret, and nothing to hide. He inhales. The judge in front of him recites the charges pressed against him for a crime he did not commit. He was framed, framed by his own rotten-pungent brother whose greed and corruption to his demise. Reed sympathizes, knowing he will not be able to see his first child, his family, and his respectful and loyal pets. He exhales, grasping only the following fragments of his ordeal:
"...According to the verdict presented in this court, Reed Sully, you are hereby sentenced to twenty-five years maximum with the possibility of early parole in the eastern quadrant of our galaxy in the FACILITY. Court is adjourned." Distant chatter amongst the crowd began, the lawyers shouted at each other, the judge banged his mallet on the platform on his desk. However, Reed walks to his family, hugs them, embraced his beautiful wife, and leaves with two armed guards on each side escorting him back to his cell. He was to leave for the FACILITY the next day.
Reed thinks to himself, “I got nothing to worry about, I am the man, and I’ll be back in no time. I just need to behave so that I can leave because I have the possibility of early parole. At least I could go to jail, it could've been worst."
"Here, here's something to read while you are on the trip," says the guard thoughtfully. And he hands him a small book that wrote: Justice and Lawyers, on the cover.
"Thanks."
The next day, Reed wakes up caused by a delicious aroma of sweet blueberry pancakes with honey dipped on top. As fresh as it sounds, along with a cup of milk provided next to the pancakes, he sees his wife standing next to the door of the cell smiling nervously. He rubs his eyes and sits upright to greet her.
"I made this myself," she comforts him.
"Thanks honey."
"Sorry, I might not be able to be at your delivery, but I will always love you."
"I know. Well, bye, hope to see you soon."
The guard outside came in, led Reed's wife outside and shut the door behind him. Reed pulled the cart towards his bed and began to eat. After he ate, he told the guard he was done and the guard came and brought him out. They soon walked to the shuttle that was going to bring him to the FACILITY. Finally, he got onto the shuttle and felt sadness. Sadness that would flow through his veins, penetrate his heart, and causes his spirit to solemnly fade away.

Communications' 3 Sites On New Speech Topic

Site 1
I learned in this site that Parental kidnapping is when one of the parents kidnaps the child from the other parent after being divorced. Also, in this case, the father that steals the child from the mom that has the custody of the child does not have any charges pressed against him for the kidnapping. According to the case in Michigan, if you are the true, biological father of the kidnapped child, the kidnapping does not matter. Thus, I can investigate the several laws on parental kidnapping in several countries or areas. Furthermore, explaining the different cases that are charged or uncharged or even dismissed. This would be an interesting topic for me to do my speech on, because the extraordinary circumstances that come in this topic, not everyone would probably know.

Site 2
This site explains the terms used in the court of law to distinguish a victim from the kidnapper, and several other terms I may use within my speech. These terms, such as custody determination or modification, you may have heard of. However, these words are used in the law that tells whether the parental kidnapping is or is not appropriate to bring to the court of justice. Also, the determination of which side the child goes to is according to the law, not what the parents or the child thinks. There may be some times where it is hard to decide, then the judge considers the thoughts of the parents and the child. Lastly this website teaches you these things, because it is part of a parental kidnapping prevention act.

Site 3
Site 3 taught me that in the United Kingdom, there is an office that helps or deals with parental kidnapping. They are afraid if the child in kidnapped and taken overseas, they cannot help, so they have provided phone numbers for people whom has their child kidnapped. This states that parental kidnapping often takes place, without help the parent with custody of the child may not see their child again. The site also teaches us that there are three broader categories in which the abductions are classified. They are: Abduction, when the child is taken overseas; wrongful retention, where the child is kept in another country waiting to be sent overseas; and lastly, threat of abduction, which is when it is risky that the child is already overseas. This site tells us that in the UK there are agencies that help located kidnapped children by their parent, and it tells us that it is illegal in the UK to kidnap your own child if you do not have his or her custody

Man Vs. Nature

A Photo-shopped Tsunami
Man versus nature or forces of nature can be described as men's struggle to survive natural disasters. Man and nature also have several uncanny conflicts between each other. Although it may not be noticed a few times, it is actually possible to not notice how unusual the natural disasters are, For instance, Mt. Fuji is in Japan, however, a tsunami occurred. It is both likely to have a tsunami hit Japan and Mt. Fuji to erupt, as a matter of fact a typhoon could be able to strike Japan. Nature is highly unpredictable and ironically unnatural. Man must face these unusually prodigious events. We may or may not predict the future events, but we will learn to take precautions and use it with aggravation. By choosing this photo, it shows the damage that man needs to endure while nature (force) is taking over. Man and nature will most presumably be always arguing with each other and unfortunately it could possibly not end.

Man Vs. Himself

Example of "Peer Pressure"
Man versus himself is a terrible way to lose confidence, temper, ability to communicate, and accepting the truth. The worst way to live is to be constantly arguing with yourself. The fact that you cannot do what you need or want to do is a depressingly unimaginable pain and death of one's dignity. Although  the suffering usually does not last long, the feeling of being trapped inside of one's self and unable to let go of anything is extremely difficult to handle. Peer pressure is a very good example of man versus himself. A person falling for peer pressure is a man that cannot choose the right thing for himself. He or she is not worthy of being a person because he or she cannot even make a right decision. Man versus himself almost occurs everywhere, we need to be careful and make the right choices brought unto our lives.

Man Vs. Man

American Army During the Cold War
Man versus man refers to the conflict between either men and men, or a group of men and another group. Mankind always has conflict between each other and sometimes they cannot solve it themselves. Although sometimes situations do get solved--as show above, the result of the Cold War--there are still minor conflicts between men. I chose this picture to demonstrate the effects of man versus man and causes of it (if you know about the Cold War). Furthermore, we can imply about how man versus man can become without knowing any details, such as, no blood was shed in the Cold War. However, we know that there was a conflict and that armies were set up to defend their countries. Man versus man has be a horrible disaster throughout the history and that it has ruined many lives; but in the end, everything can be alright

Settings and Characters

The "FACILITY"

Setting:
The setting of this story is in the high mountains of Shanlonn in the "FACILITY". It is December fifth, 2048. The air is moist, and the temperature is boiling. Although we are high up in the mountain, those things are down there, waiting. There is no food up here, no light, no water, and no hope. It is almost night time, and we may not survive this night. There are a few odd shaped rocks on the edge of the mountain, they were tall and round like the planets we used to see before the fog. The air is thick and we could not see more than five to ten meters in front of us. Furthermore, we are stranded, no way in and no way out. It was the time of death's apocalypse.

Characters:
Reed's the name; he came to the "FACILITY" when he was twenty-nine. He made lots of friends here, due to his high EQ, and he is a tall man with brownish black hair and turquoise ocean eyes. He sings very well and he finds improvising often used in his life. He loves animals, thus, he has two komodo dragons, one lammergeyer vulture, and four snapping turtles. He could not take them with him when he left Earth. He has a few scars from a few street fights he always gets himself into from rescuing strangers, but it was worth it. He has a four year old son back on Earth and a beautiful wife that is taking care of him. For now, he would do anything to see his family again, and he will do anything he can to survive this disaster. He is a man of hope and fulfillment; anything can be accomplished by him. He is here in the "FACILITY" and he is putting up a team to escape this hell, however, an unfortunate event occurs...
