Paranoia (n.) - A mental illness caused by fear or anxiety that forces people to generally think whether something bad or nothing at all will occur.

Kino is not paranoid. Although it may seem that he is, Kino, as a careful and loving person, was not paranoid at all. However, he was taking precautions.
