Favorite Fruit

I do not have a favorite fruit, but the fruit I enjoy eating the most is Gold kiwis. I love gold kiwis beacuse they are an interesting species of fruit that only grows in New Zealand. They have large amounts of vitamins, protein, and lots of iron. They are furry on the outside, and they are sweet with seeds othe inside. Kiwis a essentially rated the most healthy fruit on the face of the Earth. I love to eat them loke eating a pudding with a spoon. Although they are hard to get in Taiwan (now it is easier) I will always cherish one if I every do find one. Kiwis are my most enjoyed fruit to eat.

Favorite Book

My favorite book is Freakonomics by two geniouses in which I forgot their names. It is a reference book on the economy of the world, it teaches about the reasons why the world is going down the the reasons why all laws were changed in areas in the United States. For instance, in about 1960 to 1990, all crime rates decreased about 80%. Why? The reason is that a law was passed that allowed abortion, thus crime rates went down. It is a very interesting book that will blow your mind due to its high logical and absorbing material information of the world we live in. What the details in the book tells you, you may not understand, but when you figure out what is it trying to say, you might say, " wow, that is true and correct." Freakonomics is a very stunning, cunning, and brain teasing book that is easy and advantageous to read.

Complimentary confusion response

I simply believe that complimenting someone is the happiest thing to do in the world. Seeing a person smile makes you want to smile too, or know what they are smiling about. However, if you meet someone like me, a person that is so easily pleased, I assure you, you will never know the reason why I am laughing or smiling. Futhurmore, if you compliment on someone, you may feel better about yourself too! Being a good citizen of society, you must be happy and love one another. Everyone should be healthy, and not everyone is, so we should care less about the appearance of a person, but the qualities that one has. Let everyone love everyone and let them love themselves.

Birthday galore

Everyday throughout the world, people are celebrating birthdays. Each day on the Earth, someone somewhere is born or someone is blowing out a candle. Although we may not know who the person is, it is customary to say happy birthday to them. Due to the birth of a person everyday, the world is filled with birthdays to celebrate. Come to think of it, there was a time when a group of people celebrated a week of birthdays. Thus, birthdays are occuring and happening everyday. We should all be thankful for having a birthday celebrated.

The obstacle "noise"

Noise has been an obstacle for people around the world for centuries. They have interrupted us in many annoying ways, such as the sound of wind. During this activity in class, I realized that not only noise is audio, it can be feelings or lack of self consciousness. Furthermore, noise is disruptive and it affects the way organisms communicate. Although noise is simply something that disturbs you, it is also something that would make you not listen to something and receive an incorrect decoding for a phrase. You will not be able to talk to a person and the person cannot receive the information you offer. Noise is everywhere throughout the world it makes us feel pain, suffering, and annoyance, thus, we should pay attention to others around you.

Ability to not understand

All the people in the world are losing their ability to listen amd communicate. Throughout the world, there are noises and static that always disturb our ability to listen carefully in a conversation. Due to many people that misunderstand a conversation, they often find decoding a sentence difficult for them to know what the meaning of the sentence is. Thus, these situations lead to conflicts and the lack of patience. The only way to solve this problem is to always make sure the receiver truely understands what the meaning of your sentence is. In conclusion, people should pay more attention to words and the tone of the person's voice.

Calculus is bad

Although the study of calculus is quite extraordinary, the usage of it is not really used on a daily basis. Calculus is the higher branch of- in arithmetic- algebra. It focused on limits, functions, derivatives, integrals, and infinite series, which is not applied to everyday lives. However, the practice of probability and statistics, are advantageous and it is involved during our lives. Teachers should spend more time teaching about probability and statistics, and with sufficient time, introduce calculus. Futhurmore, shouldn't school be teaching about how to be the best employee in their career? Thus, we need to please our bosses on how good we can guess and to observe data.

Tour of the city

Where can I find the nearest camping site? Where is a nearby recreation center? If you are new to our neighborhood, then come down to the city hall at first street near the river and take a tour of the area! This tour is about an hour long and it includes visiting the recreational sites that this city has. In fact, when you sign up here at the city hall, you get to become a member at all the fun attractions in this city for free! Did you here that? For free! However there is a catch, come down to the city hall this week to enjoy this unregretable deal of your life!

Homework is bad

The usage of homework is unnecessary, and a waste of time. The meaning of homework is to let students remember what they learned during class, and to practice. However, for several students in the world, they listen and understand during class and do not need to practice the assignment. Futhurmore, if the students aquire enough sleep at night, the student can aquire more attention from the teacher during class. With this understanding given to the teachers, the students will learn much more easily, and without having too much homework, the students can find time to ask the teachers for help. Also, the use of homework might affect the students grade, or their lack of concern for their lives. The many situations occured in school are usually caused by homework, such as plagiarism . Thus, it is not adequate for the use of homework.

1+2+3= who I am

My name is Steven Tien, I am an ambious person and I am also very active. Whenever I have a problem or question, I will try to do anything I can do to achieve whatever it is I want to achieve. Futhermore, I am always willing to help others about anything that I can help them with. I like to play Hockey, and I love to swim. I enjoy being in the water and I cherish cold weather. Part of the reason is because I live in Taiwan, and I have lived in Canada before, so I have tasted a hint of glorious snow. Despite the fact I live in tropical climate where it is hot and somewhat humid, I am thankful that the sun is warm and the weather is excellent for going to the beach and or riding a bike along the river bank in the various rivers. I enjoy my life as who I am, and I know somehow it is going to get better.
You know that feeling you get when you need to turn on the air conditioner, roll down the window, or even just to stop breathing? I do, and it is also considered my greatest fear--the fear of disgusting smells. I absolutely dispise smells that will make you barf. These smells sting your olfactory cells, and could possibly kill them. Although the stench blends with the surroundings, making it less pungant, the chemical reactions in the air twists in your nose, generating a smell worse than the one before. Due to this fear, I have adapted to hold my breath for a long time, and know exactly how to react to these situations. For example, I would expeditiously open the window, or turn on  the fan in the room. I had a case recently in a car, where I hopped onto the car and smelt the stench of three-day-old decaying chicken in the back seat (where I sat). Stenches are my one and only greastest fear in the world.
To overcome my weakness, I will master the arts of Taichi, so that I can hold my breath for a long time. Luckily, my grandparents know Taichi and they can help me to master it. Although I need to concentrate on my school work, I will use my full concentration on mastering the arts of Taichi. I will need to be a man and do the right thing. For instance, I need to accept the pain and suffering to achieve this goal. Futhermore I can buy a gas mask to use where every I go. However, gas masks will cost too much, so to prevent myself from buying something too expensive, I will prefer myself to make a gas mask of my own. These options above lead myself to overcome the fear of stench.

Ted video response

I learned that not only watching someone demonstrate something is important, but listening and keep on listening to them is also important to practice. I think that the person in the video is right, we all are losing our ability to listen, and to remember what we heard. We should be comfortable listening to someone even if there iAds a few distractions and things we want to look at

Tiny autobiography

My name is Steven tien this is a redo of a resume of myself

My name is Steven, I live in Canada. I extremely love to play hockey and I love to be in the water. Hockey is my favorite sport, I first had contact with hockey in grade 5. I fell in love with it and I started to force myself to skate, even on the road. Hockey is an energized sport that requires more concentration than endurance, this is the reason why I find hockey exciting and fun.
Swimming and scuba diving are my most enjoyed activities to do during summer. I love to stare into the water a discover marine animals and the various colorful coral reefs. I like to just float on the surface of the water and it feels relaxing and serene. I love to drift amongst the waves and feel nothing at all. Once I saw a lion fish while I was scuba diving, I also saw a few giant clams wiggling through the rocks inside the water.I feel that whenever I am in the water, I am someone else that enjoys life not on land, but in the vast ocean.
