Greatest Fear
You know that feeling you get when you need to turn on the air conditioner, roll down the window, or even just to stop breathing? I do, and it is also considered my greatest fear--the fear of disgusting smells. I absolutely dispise smells that will make you barf. These smells sting your olfactory cells, and could possibly kill them. Although the stench blends with the surroundings, making it less pungant, the chemical reactions in the air twists in your nose, generating a smell worse than the one before. Due to this fear, I have adapted to hold my breath for a long time, and know exactly how to react to these situations. For example, I would expeditiously open the window, or turn on the fan in the room. I had a case recently in a car, where I hopped onto the car and smelt the stench of three-day-old decaying chicken in the back seat (where I sat). stenches are my one and only greastest fear in the world.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of crazy smells either. How long can you hold your breath? Plan to hold your breath in front of the class when I get there. And when you hopped onto (should probably be into) the car, what did you do. You just told us about how to handle stenching situations, but you left us hanging on this one. In the end, I'd like to hear about an actual weakness. Clever entry, nonetheless.
