1+2+3= who I am

My name is Steven Tien, I am an ambious person and I am also very active. Whenever I have a problem or question, I will try to do anything I can do to achieve whatever it is I want to achieve. Futhermore, I am always willing to help others about anything that I can help them with. I like to play Hockey, and I love to swim. I enjoy being in the water and I cherish cold weather. Part of the reason is because I live in Taiwan, and I have lived in Canada before, so I have tasted a hint of glorious snow. Despite the fact I live in tropical climate where it is hot and somewhat humid, I am thankful that the sun is warm and the weather is excellent for going to the beach and or riding a bike along the river bank in the various rivers. I enjoy my life as who I am, and I know somehow it is going to get better.
You know that feeling you get when you need to turn on the air conditioner, roll down the window, or even just to stop breathing? I do, and it is also considered my greatest fear--the fear of disgusting smells. I absolutely dispise smells that will make you barf. These smells sting your olfactory cells, and could possibly kill them. Although the stench blends with the surroundings, making it less pungant, the chemical reactions in the air twists in your nose, generating a smell worse than the one before. Due to this fear, I have adapted to hold my breath for a long time, and know exactly how to react to these situations. For example, I would expeditiously open the window, or turn on  the fan in the room. I had a case recently in a car, where I hopped onto the car and smelt the stench of three-day-old decaying chicken in the back seat (where I sat). Stenches are my one and only greastest fear in the world.
To overcome my weakness, I will master the arts of Taichi, so that I can hold my breath for a long time. Luckily, my grandparents know Taichi and they can help me to master it. Although I need to concentrate on my school work, I will use my full concentration on mastering the arts of Taichi. I will need to be a man and do the right thing. For instance, I need to accept the pain and suffering to achieve this goal. Futhermore I can buy a gas mask to use where every I go. However, gas masks will cost too much, so to prevent myself from buying something too expensive, I will prefer myself to make a gas mask of my own. These options above lead myself to overcome the fear of stench.

  1. I'm from Upstate New York, so I understand the draw toward cold weather. I also have a pond at my house that freezes over in the winter. We skate and play hockey as often as we can. Unfortunately, like you, I've somehow chosen to live in hot, humid climates as well. Why do we torture ourselves? It's not all that bad, I guess. Besides, like you said, life is only going to get better.
